Using Video to Build Relationships and Close Deals in 2018 | iMax CRM

Everyone is using email marketing today, but most people aren’t getting the biggest enough bang for their buck.

Many real estate agents undervalue the use of email marketing because they are personally not getting results. They assume because they aren’t, no one else is either. But that couldn’t be further from the truth. There is someone out there, a competitor who is doing it better than you!

If you want better results from your email marketing you have to create better emails. People are getting hundreds of emails everyday, what are you doing to ensure yours is special?

What exactly is video email marketing?

Video email marketing is using video instead of text based emails.  So instead of writing a very cold email with no personality, you can now film your message and connect on a much deeper, face-to-face with your potential clients.

But I’m not a fan of being on video!

Time to shape up or ship out because if you are not doing it one of your competitors is, real estate is a tricky game, and you have to try and always stay above the pack.

Why is email video marketing better?

Video is always a better form of communication, it’s like comparing a phone call to a face-to-face interaction, you are always going to get better results from the face-to-face interaction. It humanizes you, and makes you more trustworthy, which is a pretty important trait for a real estate agent.

A couple of points to drive my message home..

60% of human communication is tone. Think about it, how many times have you typed something as a sarcastic joke, but the person on the other hand took it as a serious statement and got angry or offended? That’s a perfect example of tone, and how it affects people’s perception.

30% of human communication is body language. When you’re talking to someone, a lot of what you’re saying isn’t coming from your mouth, it’s coming from your hands, it’s coming from how you’re standing, sitting, crouching, etc. You can’t really say this in text.

The final 10% of communication is the actual content of your message. If you’re hoping that you can provide 10% and people are going to pay 100% attention, well..that’s just not how it works.

Text Email Marketing vs. Video Email Marketing.

When you see someone on video you unconsciously think they are an expert at something. Mostly because you can see the passion in their eyes, and you can hear the knowledge in their voice. If you’re comfortable enough to talk about real estate on a video, then well, you’re pretty dang confident in your knowledge.

Real estate is a buyers market, and honestly, clients have the choice to go with the most qualified person. You should drive home the message that you are the most qualified person for the job.

Buying a house is a serious investment, if you were in the shoes of someone who was looking for a real estate agent, would you choose the person who sends a generic cold email, or someone who is comfortable enough with their knowledge and themselves to get on video and talk like an expert?

Let’s put it another way..

You have 2 minutes to spare once opening an email, would you rather spend that 2 minutes reading or watching a video? I think the answer is pretty clear, movies based off of books exist for a reason.

A better example, for a long time facebook was a mostly text based medium, which some pictures. However more and more facebook is pushing video, why? Because there is so much content out there, and people don’t want to sit and read something.

They just don’t.

So what is the point to even sending an email?

If someone is willing to open your email, it’s your client to lose, that’s the truth. When someone opens your email, that means the subject or tagline was gripping enough for someone to click through.

Email is one of the easiest ways to market to a large audience, and also learn how to improve that marketing. You can take your metrics and they mean something. Your click through rate means something. You can consistently better your emails

No one reads templated emails. I know you don’t. When you get an email from another real estate agent, or an accountant or any other professional, you most likely send it straight to the trash, or you unsubscribe. Spammy junk emails just don’t work anymore.

So how do stand out?

Tools like the iMax apps, and others allow for you to create unique emails that actually sell! But not only do tools like iMaxcrm increase sales, but they also decrease the amount of time it takes to create an email. So what you’re realistically getting when you get a good CRM is more leads & more sales in less time.
